BMW Vision 100

After 100 years of BMW it’s easy to look back and reflect on the past achievements. But we must also look to the future and with the BMW VISION NEXT 100 is what we have done.

In the future drivers will decide how they want to travel and this is why the BMW Vision features ease and boost mode. If the driver wishes to relax, work or be entertained then ease mode uses fully automated driving allowing them to do so, perfect for when stuck in traffic. If they wish to drive themselves then boost mode will allow the driver to fully customise the vehicle to their preferences.

The vehicle also exhibits what is called “Multi widget”, a virtual display and control element. This puts all of the important settings in one convenient place.

One of the most visually noticeable parts of the car is the wheel arches which move in synch with the wheels and is called alive geometry. The alive geometry also can signal the driver to take certain steps to avoid a potential crash by using dynamic patterns to tell them what to do such as brake, meaning they won’t have to react as sudden, further enhancing the driving experience.
